ATA has three guiding principles that all members of our community work to uphold:

We believe that we define ourselves by who we are and the impact we have on others. We lead lives of care, compassion, courage, and conviction. We are guided by an unwavering moral compass. We have the empathy to fight for what we know is right, even if it is unpopular or challenging. Our hearts drive us when our minds and bodies are too tired to go on; we can always call upon our inner strength of character to persevere.

We believe that humility is the grounding force that gives us perspective. We will always remember who we are, what we stand for, where we come from, and the many people along the way that have helped us get to where we are. We are able to admit when we are wrong or need help and embody the self-awareness to seek out opportunities for self-improvement and growth. We understand the power of our own voice, but also recognize the critical importance of  listening to and learning from others. We take pride in the fact that we are confident, yet humble leaders who  look for opportunities to grow, evolve, and give back.

We believe that all dreams worth realizing require hard work and a relentless determination and focus. We are the masters of our fate and will never let others define who we are and what we are capable of accomplishing. We embrace adversity as it is the galvanizing force that tests and strengthens our resolve, tenacity, and work ethic. We take pride in the process because lessons learned throughout the journey are oftentimes more important than the outcome.
